Yami is Sora’s darkness. He’s created post KH2 when Sora’s darkness was ‘awakened’. That darkness was Yami. He’s a manipulative, sarcastic, an uncaring person. Which is to be expected from someone who lacks a heart/has to share it with the very person he hates.
Yami does however have a soft side. Riku is one of the few people who have shown affection toward him, even when Yami just wanted to corrupt him. Therefore he tends to be very attached to Riku and clings to him like a lost puppy.
For those of you who are wondering, he doesn’t and will not wield a Keyblade. I know how much fans already detest an OC looking like a canon character, but he kind of HAS to look like Sora. Seeing as how he comes directly from Sora’s heart. Yami probably could wield one if he wanted to, but he chooses to fight with his fists. Preferring to know hes delivering pain to his opponent rather than bash with a Keyblade.
Oh, I should probably let you all know this. Yami switches mood VERY EASILY and very quickly. One moment he could act like your best friend, and then be smacking you upside the head with anger. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
